HUSKEY SPG-300 SERIES OILS are formulated from Polyalkylene glycol (PAG) base oils and carefully selected additives to provide long service life, excellent wear protection and protection against rust and corrosion. The combination of outstanding oxidation resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures, a very high viscosity index, and excellent low-temperature properties makes them suitable for year round use over a wide temperature range. HUSKEY SPG-300 SERIES OILS are NSF/U.S.D.A. H-1 *Registered and KOSHER approved which gives them full acceptability for use in all areas where incidental food contact may occur.

Usage

HUSKEY SPG-300 SERIES OILS were primarily designed for the lubrication of all worm, spur, herringbone and planetary industrial gear sets. Some applications include highly loaded gear boxes used in the paper, steel, oil, textile, lumber and cement industries where gear protection and maximum oil life are required. Seal Compatibility – HUSKEY SPG-300 SERIES OILS are not compatible with most standard seal materials used for mineral oils or synthetic hydrocarbons. When converting from mineral oil or synthetic hydrocarbons to HUSKEY SPG-300 SERIES, seal compatibility must be considered. FKM, VMQ and HNBR seals are normally suitable for use with PAG. In all cases, operating conditions and the variability of elastomer properties from different manufactures should be considered. For best results, consult the equipment supplier or seal manufacturer for specific recommendations.

Compatibility with Other Lubricants – HUSKEY SPG-300 Series Oils are not compatible with petroleum oils and most other synthetic lubricants. When changing from mineral oil or other synthetic products to HUSKEY SPG-300 Series, it is critical to do a complete flush, drain and refill. Please refer to HUSKEY’S Conversion procedure when performing a changeover from one of these products to SPG-300 Series Oils.

Paint Compatibility – PAG-based lubricants can sometimes soften industrial paints, so internal gearbox surfaces should be unpainted or coated with a resistant material.

HUSKEY LPC GEAR OILS are high performance, full synthetic, all-purpose gear oils formulated with HUSKEY’S new proprietary SEM (Surface Eutectic Modification) additive. The revolutionary new SEM technology makes it a Lower Power Consumption (LPC) gear oil, hence the name LPC Gear Oil. They offer maximum wear protection under extreme operating conditions such as vibrations, scuffing, oscillating motions and shock loads, where metal asperity contact occurs. Because of the thermally and mechanically stable polyalphaolefin base oils and SEM technology, HUSKEY LPC GEAR OILS give extra protection to micro-pitting due to asperity contact. In addition, compared to both conventional mineral and synthetic gear oils the HUSKEY LPC GEAR OILS have proven they can lower operating temperatures of the gear box resulting in lower power costs. Due to their high viscosity index they provide effortless startup even during cold temperatures; yet give extra wear protection in high temperature applications. Usage

HUSKEY 15A14 SERIES OILS were formulated to be used in a wide variety of plant applications. The extreme pressure properties and resistance to forming emulsions with water make them an excellent lubricant for vertical turbine pumps in water and waste treatment plants. Due to their low foaming characteristics, they are excellent for hydraulic systems, especially in food processing facilities.
